RALL Baseline Survey

Thank you for taking the time to fill out this survey.

Please find the survey link here:

We have exciting news to share! As you may or may not know, The Regenerative Alberta Living Lab project (RALL) is taking place across Alberta for the next four years.

As part of that project we are sending out a short “baseline” survey now to any interested producers.

But that’s not the exciting part.

The exciting part is we have a fantastic prize package that will be awarded to one lucky person who completes the survey. Cabela’s has donated a Pit Boss 3 Series Gas Vertical Smoker, plus a smoker starter package (wood chips, cookbook). To sweeten the pot even more, FWWF has added an Inkbird bluetooth 4 probe digital thermometer that includes a time alarm. What a great prize!! See the bottom of this blog for more details on the prizes.

The survey should only take about 10 minutes or less of your time.

At the end there will be a question asking if you want to be entered into the survey – put your name and email address there. Those responses will be separated from the main body of the survey and put into a special draw.

We have set the survey up using “SimpleSurvey”, which means that the data all stays within Canada. It will also be anonymized, so we will extract total responses only, nothing will be attributed to any individual.

We hope to deliver the smoker to the lucky winner in time for BBQ season, so be sure to get your name in soon. The survey will close on June 15th.

Whether you are interested in the smoker or not, we really appreciate you taking the time to complete the survey. It will help us make decisions on how best to tailor our project to deliver maximum value to Alberta farmers and ranchers.

Prize Information:

There’s a new boss in town – the Pit Boss® Red Rock Gas Smoker Series. With the Pit Boss Red Rock Gas Smoker, you can reach temperatures as low as 100°F and as high as 350°F. The large front window eliminates the need for peek-a-boo cooking and the elevated frame makes transferring your meal from the smoker to the table a breeze. The PB Gas Smoker Series features a spacious cooking area of 884 square inches, four porcelain coated cooking racks, an oversized front load wood chip tray, and external heat indicators. The rear wheels and handle increase mobility, and a stylish red semi-gloss finish is sure to impress.

Experience how Pit Boss is redefining the smoker industry in your own backyard today!

INKBIRD Bluetooth Meat Thermometer IBT-4XC, 150FT Rechargeable BBQ Thermometer with APP Menu Graph, 4 Probe Digital Grilling Thermometer for Smoker Oven Kitchen, Timer Alarm | Magnet | Waterproof IPX5.

This will allow you to cook up to 4 different types of meats in your smoker at once and monitor from your phone. Wow!

Survey Purpose and Objective

This research will help to establish a baseline of beneficial management practice (BMP) adoption by Alberta producers as part of the Regenerative Alberta Living Lab (RALL) project. It will inform the Knowledge and Technology Transfer program of the RALL and further research and extension planning of the participating Partner Groups of the project. The survey is being delivered solely by the RALL.

You have been asked to participate in this survey because you are an agricultural producer in Alberta. Participation is entirely voluntary and is expected to take ~10 minutes. Please click on the link for further instructions and thank you again for taking part in this valuable research.
